We offer both Pre-Paid and Pre-Arranged funeral consultations depending on your personal need and situation.
What’s the Difference?
Great Question! A Pre-paid funeral is where you make your plans, and place the necessary funds with a third party until your death. This is attractive to people who want to lock in the plan, and the cost of most funeral elements at ‘today’s prices’ in a prepaid funeral plan, and funds for the extra’s like flowers, food, drinks and any other additions you might like put aside in a funeral bond. People also like this way as it minimises stress on your key people, and also the money put into the bond isn’t taxed or counted by Centrelink to a certain amount.
A Pre-Arranged funeral is where you work with us to plan the elements of your funeral ahead of time, but without putting any money into a bond. There are different ways to do this. For those who are generally quite well and just want to get organised, we can send you a template where you put your wishes and vision down, and we keep it on file for later on. If you’re facing a life limiting diagnosis and are at a phase where you’re winding down treatment, moving to palliative care, or have had a sudden dip in health, we can meet with you in person or via zoom to have an in-depth discussion.
Pre-Paid Funerals
Due to our intensive model of continuity of care across the entire deathcare, funeral and wake process, we are often extremely busy with at-need families, and may not be able to immediately lock in a meeting with you. Here is the process we follow, so you can decide if this is right for you.
Make contact with us via email and we will send you an information pack and add you to our waitlist. An arranger will contact you when we have a quieter moment to arrange a meeting
Take a look through our preferred Funeral Bond providers and research their offerings. Foresters Financial is the tried and tested fund we use that is an independent, member-owned bunch of finance folks.
An arranger will contact you to create a meeting time to discuss your wishes and create a quote for you. NB: Please note there is a $450 fee for this consultation. It must be paid prior to the meeting and the amount is taken off the final amount agreed upon for your funeral.
We assist you to complete the paperwork with your chosen provider, and keep a record of the bond, your wishes and the agreed quote.

Pre-Planned Funerals
It’s always a crappy time when you start to see the end of the line coming on up ahead - maybe you’re feeling ready, or maybe you’re just needing some sense of knowing what it will be like - we are here to answer your questions whether that be about accessing VAD, dying at home, Palliative care questions, and of course the deathcare and funeral stuff (which is honestly easier and more fun than the dying bit).
If you want to make a time to chat in person or via zoom, drop us a line. We do assess when we meet based on each person’s individual situation - for those who don’t have the time to create a pre-paid funeral, or have another way they want to manage that end of thing, we prioritise those meetings first. If you’re still in active treatment, or your diagnosis is uncertain, we use a triage system; rest assured though we are here to help you!
