A Sacred Mourning is the work of Brent Dakis, a jeweller and maker creating bespoke mourning jewellery, memorial gemstones, ritual goods, and objects of remembrance. Born from the sudden loss of his daughter Ivy, the practice offers deeply personal pieces shaped through conversation, care, and collaboration. Each work is intended to help honour memory in a tangible form, something that can be worn, held, and carried forward with love.
Urns for families who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss are free and anyone in Australia is welcome to order. The cost of production, packaging and shipping are funded by our sponsors and donations from this lovely community.
