Old Shire Offices - Hurstbridge

Designed in 1908 by T. H. Tisdall and H. Desbrowe, the Old Shire Offices are a rare little piece of local civic history. Once the Heidelberg Shire Offices and Library, the building has been carefully relocated and repurposed as a community hall, still carrying that unmistakable “public building” feeling, but in a warmer, more human scale.

Inside, you’ll find two open rooms that can be set in different ways depending on the shape of the gathering. Outside, it’s bordered by open grassy parkland, giving the whole place a sense of space and ease.
