Home-based death care and vigils

We can support you to bring your deceased person home, and have access to the necessary equipment to ensure this experience is a beautiful, gentle and supported one, that allows you time to say goodbye.

We also offer special assistance to help you arrange a wake, party or vigil with your departed traveller at your home.

Home Funerals - $7000.00

(Professional Services included; Cremation/burial fees not included)

Call out for mortuary expert to the home for assessment and guidance
At-home mortuary care including washing, dressing and anointing provided by our team (extra fees may apply if off-site mortuary care is needed)
A cooling plate to place under your person
Assistance with enshrouding/encoffining (our team can do this for you, too) *transport fees may apply
Preparation to allow your person to lie in state for up to 72 hours, with 24/7 on-call assistance by our team.
Bespoke Ceremony planning and Kimba to conduct funeral and two LH staff to assist on the day
Transfer to the crematorium or cemetery in our 1973 Cadillac Hearse.

Home Vigil/Wake - $2000.00 (up to 72 hours)

(Professional Services Fee not included)

As above but without funeral ceremony, extra staff and hearse transport

Extras

In home doula-style care and support by one of our staff members, to assist with practical and emotional care $60-80 per hour
Additional visits by our mortuary care team: $350 per visit
Extra Transfers $350 per transfer (metro Melbourne)
